Wolffer Estate Summer in a Bottle Rosé
As you will see if you read enough posts, I have roots on Long Island. I was born and raised in Cutchogue smack dab in the middle of wine country. When I was growing up there were only a handful of vineyards. We still mostly had farms growing potatoes, cauliflower, and corn. The North Fork now has over 40 wineries, but what makes it such a great place to visit is how condensed the area is. Driving from one winery to the next, takes sometimes less than a minute. Even better you can reach the Long Island Sound or the Great Peconic Bay again in just mere minutes. For my summer nights or relaxed nights nothing beats Summer in a Bottle. Wolffer Estates is actually in the Hamptons AVA, but it’s all home to me. The bottle is decorated in a colorful floral design perfectly complementing the light pink of the wine. SIAB is a blend of Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris. This combo makes for a very aromatic wine. It’s a little bit of stone fruit and little bit floral. Chill it up and sip with wild abandon! Summer in a Bottle is a romantic wine. Maybe it’s the floral notes and the delicate color but that’s why it’s ideal for music under the stars or a romantic evening.
