Serve with music

Les Hérétiques Carignan

Carginan is the name of grape.  Many regions use this varietal in their blends, but here we see it on it’s own, and it’s fabulous.  This is a light to medium bodied red with aromas of wildflowers and ripe raspberries.  The raspberry notes remind me of being at my grandparents’ house in the summer when I was a kid and eating them fresh off the bushes.  Drinking this is my adult version of summer berry picking.

You can get this wine for less than $10 and it would be great to grab on a weeknight so you can have a glass while you prep dinner.  Even better pack it up in a picnic basket as you enjoy a night of music under the stars.
