Sunday Funday

Spier Vintage Selection Shiraz

Things are starting to really cool down here and I needed something big and warming.  Enter Spier Shiraz.  We are in full football Sunday Funday mode around here.  Although we don’t normally attend the games, our Sunday afternoons have and always have been Football-family-relax days.  Usually, I spend the better part of the day doing some kind of fall activity with the kids.  This week it was one of those enormous corn mazes that truly gave me anxiety because we couldn’t find our way out.  After that, I like to make a comfort meal for dinner at which point I pour myself a glass of wine and get cooking.  So after being outdoors all day and having my adrenaline spike after corn maze madness it was time for a drink.

The Spier Shiraz is loaded with plum and dried fruit.  It’s got notes of fig and raisin.  This is full-bodied, spicy and perfect for a day when you need to warm up from the cold.  If you are planning on doing some Sunday Funday tailgating this season, you should bring this along for the party.
